Point Fermin Camping

7th Grade Overnight Camping Trip: Point Fermin Outdoor Education Center

Carver MS is going to Point Fermin Outdoor Education Center! November 22 – 24, 2024. Seventh grade students are invited to attend Point Fermin Outdoor Education Center for immersive learning activities focusing on science, nature, and the great outdoors. Space is limited. The trip takes place 11/22/24 – 11/24/24. Please join us for a parent informational meeting via Zoom, where staff will share information about the science camp experience and answer questions.

8th Grade HS options

8th Grade High School Selection Process

LAUSD e-Choices and Zone of Choice for the 25-26 school year opens October 1st
As discussed during the 8th grade Presentation on Back to School Night ALL 8th grade students are REQUIRED to select a high school during the Zone of Choice window and submit the signed parent consent form.

Students wishing to enroll in a special program for high school (i.e. Magnet, Dual Language etc.) MUST apply to BOTH zone of choice and the e-Choice platform. Visit the LAUSD Unified Enrollment website to explore programs and schools.

School counselors will assist 8th grade students with completing their Zone of Choice application on campus during the month of October.
